writing and teaching in Maine

Brody Wood is a trans and injured poet, essayist, organizer and creative writing teacher living in Maine. They write about love, loss, trauma, chronic pain and friendship. They teach at the Telling Room, Portland's non-profit youth writing center, with the conviction that writing and storytelling can serve as tools for healing, discovery and activism. In the day to day, Brody can be found skateboarding with minimal effort, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and forgetting to water their houseplants.
